futari goes to Paris! - Maison & Objet

Paris was graced this January by the presence of futari design. Our team attended the Spring/Summer homewares and furniture fair, soaking up the French flair, culture and cuisine in equal doses. Designers and suppliers from all corners of the globe braved the winter weather to soak in the atmosphere and get a glimpse of the latest collections to be released next season. Five action-packed days at the internationally renowned expo were filled with absorbing the latest in European style, trends and technologies; leaving our heads bursting with inspiration and our bellies with brioche!

best of Barcelona - Drap Art 09 EXPO

The New Year saw futari celebrating in style in Spain. Along with the classical must-sees Barcelona has to offer, a hi-light of the trip was the ‘Drap Art’ expo; featuring student work constructed of recycled and re-used materials. Gaudi’s Sagrada Familia and the many delights of Montjuic were also enjoyed by all.

“Find Your Style – Inside and Out” event featured presentations from Alison Triffett of Style Counsel, Lois Smith Garden Designer and the Futari Design Team. It was a day of fun, food, tips and talks.

KT Doyle emerging designer industry launch

Futari Design supported the very talented, emerging designer KT Doyle at her Industry Launch where her wallpaper 'falling leaves' was featured in the Moooi window installation at Space Furniture.

International Women's Day

Futari Design attended the Internation Women's Day Networking Luncheon at Melange Cafe, Roma Street Parklands.

November 08 - Japan

November held new ventures with Claire travelling to Japan to experience first-hand, the fusion of ancient and modern design. The traditional architecture and finishing concepts mould seamlessly into a technologically advanced society and create a harmony and balance that can be reflected in any home around the globe.

Some high-lights of the trip included Tokyo’s Sony building and the temples and shrines surrounding Kyoto.

September 08 - Brisbane Indesign

September hosted Brisbane InDesign; a trade event where various suppliers and organisations open their doors to the design industry and enthusiasts. This day provides a great opportunity to make contacts, source new products and catch up on the latest releases and exhibitions.Welcome to the team Fifi!!

April 08 - International Furniture Fair; Milan

An incredible week in Milan! Five fun-filled days were spent exploring the International Furniture Fair and reveling in the many pieces displayed by both well renowned and also up-coming new designers. Melissa brought back a new flavour of European zest and we’ve all enjoyed sharing the most contemporary and innovative design trends with our clients and associates.
